About me

He was born in Slovenj Gradec in Slovenia and graduated at the University of Maribor. His artistic creativity has roots in his early youth but recent 10 years have been artistically very creative for him. So far, his works exibithed in various opuses over 100 solo and group Exibitions in Slovenia, Austria, Germany, Hungary, Croatia, Poland, Italy, Belgium and France. He also participated in several international fine arts colonies and ex – temporises. In recent years he especially perfected himself in fine art in the company of domestic and foreign painters from Italy, Hungary, Croatia, Japan, Spain, Austria, Russia and USA. Otherwise Vinko Prislan creates in smaller cycles in which he likes to experiment with the style as well as, in recent times, with expressive possibilities of acrylic colours, considering that his primary and favourite technique is oil on canvas. The acrylic technique, in which he directs his future artistic creations, encourages him to explore geometrically stylized morphology in searching his abstract’s expression.

In 2018 he participated in the official Slovenian delegation at the Salon des Beaux Arts in Louvre, Paris.
